Beniamino Iozzelli, pianist and composer from Florence, has performed solo and chamber music concerts in Russia, UK, Israel, Switzerland, Austria and Italy for some of the most renowned venues such as: Teatro “Carlo Felice” of Genoa; Festival Pucciniano of Torre del Lago; Teatro “La Fenice” of Venice; Maggio Musicale Fiorentino of Florence; Festival dei due Mondi of Spoleto; Maggio della Musica of Naples; Palazzo Pitti of Florence; Parco della Musica of Rome, “William Walton” of Ischia; Oratorio del Gonfalone of Rome; Palazzo Strozzi of Florence.

As a soloist with orchestra he has performed with the Orchestra del Carmine of Florence (with which he debuted at 17 years old, performing Chopin Concerto n.1), Nuova Klassica Orchestra of Rome, Classica Toscana Orchestra, Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini Orchestra of Florence.

Beniamino won top prizes in Piano, Chamber Music and Composition
Competitions, including International Piano Competitions at the Stefano Marizza International Piano Competition of Trieste (Special prize of the jury: “for the personality and creative freshness shown despite the young age”), the International Tournament of Music (TIM) of Turin (Second Prize), Citta di Treviso (First Prize); and National Piano Competitions: Sergio Cafaro (1st Absolute Prize, youngest competitor), Piove di Sacco (1st Absolute Prize both
as a soloist and chamber music), Premio Crescendo (1st Prize). He won as a composer the 1st Absolute Prize in two Composition Competitions: “Michelangelo Buonarroti” of Florence, and the Competition held in memory of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, “Ogni nota una goccia di cristallo”, of Rome.

In 2017 Beniamino Iozzelli has been selected by the Italian Cultural Association “Musica con le Ali”, which promotes young talents, supporting them in their educational path and offering them series of concerts.

In 2016 he won a full scholarship for an intensive masterclass in piano at the Conservatory of Music “P.I. Tchaikovsky” in Moscow, as part of the project “International Exchanges Italy – Russia” promoted by the “Accademia
del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino”, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Moscow.

In 2022 he finished his Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music (Tel Aviv University) where he graduated with “Magna cum Laude”, studying piano with Emanuel Krasovsky and supported by the “Adler-Buchmann International Program awards full-tuition scholarships for outstanding international students” which include complete tuition, living stipend and housing.

In 2022 he won the Certificate of Excellence awarded by the Dean of Tel Aviv University “in recognition of outstanding academic achievements for the academic year 2019/2020”. For his first degree he has studied Piano at the Conservatory of Florence with Giovanna Prestia e Ruth Pardo where he graduated in 2016 with “Summa cum Laude”.

He attended numerous piano masterclasses held by Claudio Martinez
Mehner, Andrzej Jasinski, Aquilesì Delle Vigne, Yegana Akhundova, Irina
Plotnikova, Pier Narciso Masi, Bruno Canino, Michele Campanella, Benedetto Lupo, Riccardo Risaliti e Filippo Gamba; as well as chamber music masterclasses held by Bruno Canino, Enrico Bronzi, Giovanni Gnocchi, Dora Schwarzberg.

Since november 2024 he is teaching piano performance at the Salerno Conservatory.

In 2023 he started a multi-year collaboration with ICAMus, for the interpretation of the American piano repertoire.
